Second county resident contracts Swine Flu

The Cochise County Health Department is announcing the second confirmed case of novel influenza A (H1N1) virus ("swine flu") in Cochise County and has begun the customary disease investigation procedures. The case is from the Sierra Vista area and involves an adult female. The patient has recovered from the illness.

No more travel advisories

SEVERAL more steps were taken on Friday to move Singapore closer to the mitigation phase in dealing with the H1N1 virus. Last night, the Ministry of Health (MOH) said it would no longer issue travel advisories to Singaporeans. It said such advisories had become less useful, as the risk of catching H1N1, whether in an affected country or in Singapore, is about equal.
